Preparation Checklist

At Evo Moto Adventures, your safety, comfort, and enjoyment are our top priorities. To help you prepare for your upcoming tour, we’ve put together this essential checklist. Please review it carefully to ensure you’re ready for every aspect of the journey—including varying weather conditions and remote destinations.

Travel Essentials

  • Airfares
Ensure your flights allow ample time before and after the tour dates. We recommend arriving at least 24 hours before the tour starts and departing 24 hours after it ends.
  • Visa and Travel Documents
Obtain the appropriate visa for the country of travel and ensure all travel documents are valid and in order.
  • Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory.
  • International Driving Permit (IDP)
An IDP is required for all riders. Please obtain this prior to departure.
⚠️ Note: Not all policies cover motorcycle-related incidents. Please confirm your policy covers motorcycle touring and includes worst-case scenarios (e.g. evacuation, injury). A valid motorcycle license in your country of residence is typically required.

Required Riding Gear

You’ll need to bring all standard road-riding protective gear:
  • DOT- or ECE-approved helmet (we provide helmets, but bringing your own is preferred for comfort)
  • Goggles or protective eyewear
  • Gloves
  • Enclosed, sturdy footwear
  • Protective riding jacket and pants
  • Wet weather gear – especially important for tropical climates
  • Padded motorcycle shorts – highly recommended for multi-day rides
  • Earplugs
  • Daypack – for quick-access items while riding (Hydration packs are also a great addition)
💡 In the Central Highlands, temperatures can drop. A warm layer or light jacket is recommended for comfort when riding through cooler elevations.

Other Personal Items

  • Swimwear and towel – some stops include waterfalls, beaches, or hotels with pools
  • Sunscreen and insect repellent
  • Rain jacket or light windbreaker
  • Hat and sunglasses
  • Personal medications – and any medical documents
  • Vaccinations – consult your doctor regarding recommended or required immunizations
  • Camera or phone with storage space
  • Valid passport and copies of important documents
  • Spending money – for souvenirs, drinks, or extras not included in the package
  • Cash – for remote areas where card payment may not be available

Clothing Recommendations

  • At least three sets of casual clothes (shorts, T-shirts, jeans, socks, etc.)
  • Lightweight, quick-dry clothing – ideal for travel and easy to pack
  • Evening wear – flip-flops/thongs and casual attire for relaxing after riding
  • Jacket or jumper – especially useful in mountain areas or for cool evenings
  • Toiletries – basic travel kit for personal hygiene
🧺 Laundry services are sometimes available on rest days, depending on the tour itinerary.

Packing Tips

  • Pack light – Touring bags are provided, but space is limited.
  • Use soft, compressible clothing and avoid overpacking.
  • Bring a backpack for daily essentials during rides.
  • Keep valuables (passport, cash, phone) secure and easily accessible.
